The Council of Europe’s Advisory Group on Education of the Anti-Doping Convention (T-DO ED) is meeting in Stratford, London. The meeting is being organised with the invaluable contribution of UK Anti-Doping (UKAD), which is supporting both its logistical arrangements and substantive content. The meeting is taking place under the inspiring leadership of the interim Chairs, Annemarie Haahr Kristensen (Denmark) and Paul Moss (United Kingdom), who are guiding the Group’s discussions and supporting its work.
Building on the T-DO ED roadmap, the meeting focuses on the theme “Are We Ready? – Collaboration and Skills-Sharing: Identifying Gaps and Supporting Organisations.” A total of 74 participants from 35 of the 52 States Parties, as well as representatives of 12 observer States and international organisations, are sharing their knowledge, experience and good practices in the field of anti-doping education and exploring ways to strengthen collaboration across the network.
The programme includes discussions on the educator workforce, including frameworks, guidance, quality assurance and accreditation. Participants are also presenting practical initiatives, such as an anti-doping educator course, a manual for educators and an educators’ platform.
Further sessions address unintentional doping and sources of contamination, as well as clean sport behaviours and the application of research in practice. The meeting also includes updates from the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the International Testing Agency (ITA), including the recognition questionnaire and preparations for the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games.
The meeting will conclude with discussions on future cooperation and the way forward for the T-DO ED network.
