Ambassador Nurdan Bayraktar Golder, Permanent Representative of Türkiye, signed in the presence of Bjørn Berge, Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe, the Additional Protocol to the Anti-Doping Convention (ETS No. 188) on 20 January 2026 in Strasbourg.
The Additional Protocol enhances the Anti-Doping Convention and contributes to the harmonisation, transparency and efficiency of mechanisms to address doping in sport by providing for the recognition of doping controls and for the evaluation of national anti-doping programmes. Türkiye is the 36th State to sign the Additional Protocol.
