Therese HYDEN, Ambassador and Chargée d’affaires a.i. of Sweden to the Council of Europe, has signed and deposited the instrument of ratification of the Council of Europe Convention on the Manipulation of Sports Competitions (CETS No. 215), also known as the Macolin Convention.
Sweden thus becomes the 13th State Party to the Macolin Convention.
This fourth ratification in 2024 marks the conclusion of a particularly eventful year, highlighted by the celebration of the 10th anniversary of this unique international instrument dedicated to combating the manipulation of sports competitions.
