Péter Sztáray, State Secretary for Security Policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, formalised, this 2nd June, before the Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Bjørn Berge, the signature of the Council of Europe Convention on an Integrated Safety, Security and Service Approach at Football Matches and Other Sports Events (CETS No. 218).
Hungary is the 17th Member State of the Council of Europe to sign this Convention, which entered into force last 1st November 2017 and has been ratified by 20 Member States.
The first meeting of the Committee of the Convention was held on 14-15 April 2021.
