Joint Council on Youth meeting

The Joint Council on Youth (CMJ) meeting will take place on 17-19 October at the European Youth Centre in Strasbourg, France.

At its 35th meeting, the CMJ will define the youth sector priorities for the 2018-2019 biennium, as well as the 2017 priorities for pilot activities supported by the European Youth Foundation.

Policy discussions and decisions (advancing democratic citizenship through innovative forms of youth participation; autonomy of young people and their access to rights; promoting inclusive and peaceful societies) , as well as a thematic debate on the  integration of young refugees and migrants in European societies, will constitute the main items on the October 2016 Agenda of the Joint Council on Youth.

The youth sector priorities are a prerequisite for any NGO wanting to apply for a grant with the European Youth Foundation or a study session at one of the European Youth Centres, alongside the values and work of the Council of Europe: human rights, democracy and rule of law.
