The European Drug Prevention Prize is a unique pan-European initiative of the Pompidou Group of the Council of Europe, aiming to promote youth participation in drug prevention.Its objective is to recognise the importance of active youth participation in creating a better and healthier environment for all communities in Europe. In the framework of the preparation of the European Drug Prevention Prize, the Pompidou Group is looking to recruit four new members for the jury. The Jury is composed of 7 young people from Pompidou Group member States. They are identified by the Secretariat of the Pompidou Group based on the proposals of the member States representatives as well as non-governmental organisations that work with young people across Europe and other parts of the world. | Jury all set for
the selection of the Prize 2012 winners |

Following a successful call for applications
to the European Drug Prevention Prize 2012, the Pompidou Group registered 83 projects from 24 different countries. On 17-18 July 2012, the
jury will meet in Strasbourg to examine the applications
submitted, exchange their views and evaluate the projects according to the pre-defined selection criteria. The aim of the meeting is to shortlist the most innovative approaches and select the three winning-projects which will be rewarded for their work in drug prevention with active involvement of young people. The 5th European Drug Prevention Prize will
be awarded during the high-level Mid-term conference of the Pompidou Group on 14 November 2012.

| Prize 2012 Award Ceremony - Winners and shortlisted projects to be announced! |

On 14 November 2012, the Jury
announced which from the 83 applying projects they have decided to reward with the European Drug Prevention Prize 2012. During this event, the three innovative winning projects received their Prize 2012 composed of a Diploma, a Trophy and a Prize-money of € 5.000. The shortlisted
projects the Jury considered interesting and worthwhile promoting also
were publicized on the same occasion.
These projects received a certificate of
recognition of their work in drug prevention
with the active involvement of youth. |
