As each year, the Pompidou Group is participating in the 67th Session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs of the United Nations from 14 to 22 March 2024. The high-level segment on 14-15 March focuses on the midterm review to assess progress made in the implementation of all international drug policy commitments as set forth in the 2019 Ministerial Declaration.
On 14 March 2024, Mr Alfredo Mantovano, Under Secretary of State to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers delivered a statement on behalf of the Italian Presidency of the Pompidou Group at the high-level segment.
On the occasion of this annual international event, the Pompidou Group also organises a side event on 19 March on ‘Interventions for strengthening the role of parents in drug prevention’ with the support of Czechia, Georgia, Italy, Mexico and Poland and co-sponsor 8 side events organised by member states and partner organisations.
