EYF visit to a local youth project in support of young people from Ukraine

On 4 and 5 March 2023, the EYF visited a capacity-building activity for Ukrainian youth leaders held in Drienica, Slovakia. The project is implemented by the the local Ukrainian NGO Smart Point.

During 5 days, young Ukrainians who have been displaced inside and outside of the country worked together, to ensure a continuation of strong youth civil society in Ukraine.

The activity started with a smaller group of young trainers, who were trained and prepared activities to deliver with a wider group of young people from high-schools. The second phase was delivered by these trainers, who guided the teenagers through different sessions of teambuilding and group discussions. At the core of the activity, the younger participants were asked to develop ideas to implement in their new host communities.

This project is being implemented under the EYF special call for pilot activities in support of young people from Ukraine.
