After joining the Intercultural Cities (ICC) Programme in October 2021, the city of Montesilvano hosted the coordination meeting of the Italian Network of Intercultural Cities (Città del Dialogo) from 17 to 18 May 2023.

Some 20 participating cities set new priorities for the strategic and political development of the Italian network of Intercultural Cities (ICC), and discussed ways to further strengthen the links with the members of the international ICC network. The meeting also had a thematic focus on intercultural education and training, diversity in the workplace, and potential partnerships and ideas for new national and international projects. Ivana d'Alessandro, Head of Intercultural Cities Unit represented the Council of Europe at the event.
