Monitoring visit to AEGEE

On 13 and 14 May 2024, the European Youth Foundation (EYF) staff visited the final activity of Europe on Track 10 “Digital Voices, European Choices : Youth Impacting Tomorrow”, the 10th edition of AEGEE-Europe’s flagship project Europe on track. The activity took in the headquarters of the European Student’s Forum (AEGEE-Europe) in Brussels, Belgium, from 11 to 14 May 2024.

Europe on Track 10 aims to create a space for discussion and gather the opinion of the European youth about young people’s digital civic engagement and their role in tackling the digital divide in Europe. In the first phase of the project, two teams of young ambassadors were trained and travelled across European cities for a month to facilitate discussions, raise awareness and capture the opinion of young people. During the 3 days final event, the ambassadors and AEGEE members gathered to work together on drafting two policy recommendations based on the input gathered by the ambassadors and following a 1 day training on how to draft quality policy recommendations. These policy recommendations, along with the outcomes of the project were presented during a final conference on Tuesday 14th March gathering 25 participants including AEGEE members and representatives of Youth International NGOs based in Brussels.

Throughout the year, the European Youth Foundation is visiting projects run by non-governmental youth organisations who are receiving a grant from the Foundation to get to know to NGOs and their work, increase the visibility of the EYF and the Council of Europe, and further support the organisations in the implementation of their activities.

The activity was supported through the Annual Workplan funding programme of the European Youth Foundation. You can find more information on this grant scheme and upcoming deadlines on the following link.
