CYBERCRIME CONVENTION COMMITTEE (T-CY)



About


The Cybercrime Convention Committee (T-CY) represents the State Parties to the Budapest Convention. According to Article 46 of this treaty:

    The Parties shall, as appropriate, consult periodically with a view to facilitating:
  1. the effective use and implementation of this Convention, including the identification of any problems thereof, as well as the effects of any declaration or reservation made under this Convention;
  2. the exchange of information on significant legal, policy or technological developments pertaining to cybercrime and the collection of evidence in electronic form;
  3. consideration of possible supplementation or amendment to the Convention.

Participants


  • Representatives of State Parties to the Budapest Convention as members
  • Representatives of States that have signed or been invited to accede to this treaty as well as other member States of the Council of Europe as observers
  • Representatives of the African Union Commission, the European Union, ENISA, EUROPOL, the International Telecommunication Union, Interpol, the OECD, the Organisation of American States, the OSCE and UNODC as observers.

  • Assessing the efficiency of international cooperation: implementation of Article 31 Budapest Convention and related provisions by the Parties
  • Guidance Notes to help Parties address new challenges through the Budapest Convention
  • Transborder access to data: Guidance Note on Article 32 and consideration of a Protocol to the Budapest Convention.
