The Group of independent experts on the European Charter of local self-government assists the Institutional Committee with its statutory tasks, gathering information on local and regional self-government, providing elected representatives with technical assistance, and helping to interpret and exploit the potential of the provisions of the European Charter of Local Self-Government.
