The 19th meeting of the Assembly of Contributors of the Human Rights Trust Fund (HRTF) took place on 24 November 2017 in Strasbourg at the Council of Europe.

The Assembly discussed on-going projects funded within the HRTF, and approved funding for four new projects in Turkey, Ukraine and the Western Balkans for a total volume of 1.16 million euros.

The HRTF was set up in March 2008 to support Member States’ efforts in implementing the European Convention on Human Rights and contribute to strengthening the sustainability of the European Court of Human Rights.

Since its creation, Norway (founding contributor of the HRTF), Germany, the Netherlands, Finland, Switzerland and the United Kingdom have contributed a total of approximately 15.3 million euros to the HRTF.
