Finland makes a voluntary contribution

The Government of Finland has made a voluntary contribution of €561 642 to support the Council of Europe Strategic Action Plan for Roma and Traveller Inclusion 2020-2025, cooperation with representatives of Belarusian democratic forces and civil society, the European SOGI Governmental Expert Network, the prevention of violence against women, as well as to reduce the European Court of Human Rights backlog of well-founded cases.
 
Finland has also pledged €200,000 to the Human Rights Trust Fund*.
 
Ambassador Nina Nordström, Permanent Representative of Finland to the Council of Europe, met with Mr Bjørn Berge, Deputy Secretary General, on this occasion.


 
*The Human Rights Trust Fund (HRTF) brings together eight contributors: Finland, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
