[2 November 2009, Strasbourg] A Working Group on reforming the cybercrime legislation has been established by a Decree of the Minister of Justice of Georgia on October 16, 2009.
The Working Group is composed of representatives from the Ministry of Justice, the Office of Chief Prosecutor and the National Agency of Public Registry of Georgia.
It shall present to the Minister of Justice by 15 December 2009 the draft laws fully implementing the Council of Europe Convention on Cybercrime.
The Working Group has been created in addition to the already existing Working Group drafting amendments to bring the Georgian legislation on data protection in line with the Council of Europe Convention and Protocol on data protection (CETS 108 and 181).
