Peter Piccu-Van Speybrouck is a Federal Magistrate at the Federal Prosecutor’s Office of Belgium, where he is a member of the Cyber Unit, within the Organized Crime Division. He has been handling criminal investigations into cybercrime, within the Belgian Public Prosecution Service, for sixteen years. For the last eleven years he has also been specialising in crypto-assets and is the chairman of the working group ‘Crypto Assets’ of the Expertise Network of the Belgian Board of Belgian Prosecutors General, where he rewrote the guidelines on crypto assets for the public prosecutor’s office. He is also chairman of the subgroup ‘Crypto Assets' with EJCN and regularly provides training on cybercrime and crypto-assets to magistrates and police officers, on a national and international level.
