Dr James J. Kimuyu is the Director at the Kenyan National Computer and Cybercrimes Coordination Committee (NC4), a multi-agency entity that is mandated with the management and coordination of all National Cybersecurity matters. Before joining NC4 as Director, Dr Kimuyu was a Senior Lecturer and Head of Research at the Centre for Security and Strategic Studies (CSSS) and National Defence University-Kenya (NDU-K). He holds a PhD in Information Systems, MSc in Information Systems, BSc in Information Sciences and Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Studies. He has undertaken various Military and Professional courses related to his work. Dr Kimuyu has over 24 years of practical experience in Cybersecurity, Legislation, Policy, Strategy, Cybercrime management, national security and defence. He is also engaged in teaching, research, students’ supervision at the Defence University and other civilian Universities.
