50 candidate judges and prosecutors from Turkey were trained on cybercrime, electronic evidence and online crime proceeds within the framework of the joint project of the European Union and Council of Europe - iPROCEEDS.

Organised in collaboration with the Justice Academy of Turkey the introductory training module touched upon aspects of cybercrime, electronic evidence, financial investigations of online crime proceeds and money laundering typologies, making use of the existing technologies and substantive and procedural laws, as well as extensive international cooperation.

Equipped with the gained knowledge, the participants will be able to respond better to the threat of cybercrime, to deal with the online crime proceeds and to handle electronic evidence in an effective and efficient way.
