Germany, United States, Australia, Spain, Greece, Romania, Italy and France: Operation “Talent”, on world’s largest cybercrime forum at the time as hub for illicit activities

Operation “Talent” marked a significant international collaboration between Germany, the United States, Australia, Spain, Greece, Romania, Italy, and France, with support from Europol. The operation targeted "nulled.to" and "cracked.io", the world's largest cybercrime forums at that time, which had become major hubs for illicit activities.

On 28-30 January 2025, law enforcement agencies conducted multiple searches and seizures across ten countries. By leveraging Article 26 of the Convention on Cybercrime (Budapest Convention) – spontaneous information exchange, which enabled the rapid and direct sharing of relevant information during the investigation, the joint effort successfully disrupted the platforms and identified eight key suspects. The swift exchange of information under Article 26 played a crucial role in the operation's success, allowing for coordinated action and ultimately leading to the takedown of these major cybercrime hubs.
