Erico Kusnandar

Federal Agent Erico Kusnandar joined the Australian Federal Police (AFP) in 2013, after a 7-year career with the Australian Border Force.
Erico is an experienced criminal investigator, having investigated serious and organised crime syndicates, long-term money laundering matters, fraud matters and most recently counter-child exploitation and human exploitation matters.


This is Erico’s second posting to Manila, having served a 12 month short-term mission between 2020 and 2021 as the Child Protection Advisor – a role that he has returned to since July 2024.


Erico possesses a diverse, investigative skillset, which has been recognised through invitations to present on various AFP and International training programs and mentoring workshops.


Erico possesses a specialised skillset in the area of counter child exploitation, comprising of contemporary policing methodologies, digital investigative methodologies, covert online methodologies as well as human source and intelligence driven methodologies.
Erico is the recipient of multiple awards and commendations in the field of counter child exploitation and possesses a number of formal and informal qualifications in support of his role as the AFP Child Protection Advisor to the Philippines.
