Clint Watts

Clint Watts is the General Manager of the Microsoft Threat Analysis Center (MTAC), where he spearheads efforts to detect and disrupt foreign malign influence operations targeting democracies globally. His background includes roles as a U.S. Army infantry officer, FBI Special Agent, Executive Officer at the Combating Terrorism Center at West Point (CTC), consultant to the FBI’s Counter Terrorism Division (CTD) and National Security Branch (NSB), and analyst supporting the U.S. Intelligence Community and U.S. Special Operations Command.
Clint is the author of the book, "Messing With The Enemy: Surviving in a Social Media World of Hackers, Terrorists, Russians and Fake News," published in 2018. Currently, he serves as a national security contributor for NBC News and MSNBC. His writings have been featured in notable publications, including the New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, and Politico.
