Within the Framework Agreement between the Council of Europe and the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the government of Norway has made a voluntary contribution of NOK 40,000,000 (approximately €3,751,000) to support the Council of Europe’s Action Plan for Georgia 2020-2023.

This Action Plan aims to support Georgia in fulfilling its statutory and specific obligations as a Council of Europe member state and to contribute toward addressing fundamental issues of human rights and rule of law.

Ambassador Elisabeth Walaas, Permanent Representative of Norway to the Council of Europe, met with Mrs Gabriella Battaini-Dragoni, Deputy Secretary General on this occasion.
