Presentation of the new Code of Ethics of Montenegrin Journalists

A press conference devoted to the presentation of the new Code of Ethics of Montenegrin Journalists was organised on 21 April 2016 in Podgorica, Montenegro by the Office of the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media, the OSCE Mission to Montenegro, the Council of Europe, the Media Council for Self-Regulation (MCSR), and three local newspapers (Vijesti, Dan and Monitor).

The Code was prepared by the working group composed of representatives of the MCSR, Vijesti, Dan and Monitor, with the support of the Office of the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media and the Council of Europe.
The audience was adressed by Deniz Yazici from the Office of the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media, Patrick Penninckx, Head of Information Society Department of the Council of Europe, Dan Redford, Deputy Head of the OSCE Mission to Montenegro, Paula Petricevic, Ombudsperson of Vijesti and Monitor, Ranko Vujovic, Executive Secretary of the Media Council for Self-Regulation, Nikola Markovic, editor of Dan, and Ljiljana Zurovac, Executive Director of the Press Council in Bosnia and Herzegovina and expert advisor to the working group during the joint work on the Code.
