In order to disseminate its opportunities for youth NGOs, the EYF organises, in co-operation with member states, training events for youth organisations at national and local level. These events include sessions about the EYF, its grants and working methods, as well as sessions on youth policy and project management. These events have been organised as of 2018, following a series of five thematic seminars organised at the European Youth Centre in Strasbourg. The in-country training activities allow for closer co-operation with youth structures and young people from each member state.

At European level, the EYF organises a variety of initiatives to provide support to youth organisations in their grant implementation.
