Back CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: photos and quotes from youth projects on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Council of Europe

2024 marks the 75th anniversary of the Council of Europe - an occasion to raise awareness of the Organisation’s positive impact on people’s daily lives over three-quarters of a century, protecting human rights, democracy and the rule of law. For this purpose, the European Youth Foundation (EYF) invites beneficiary youth organisations to take part in a special initiative to increase the visibility of youth projects.
CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: photos and quotes from youth projects on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Council of Europe

Do you want to make young people’s voices and experiences known Europe wide and within the Council of Europe?

Are you interested to showcase your work as part of the EYF-supported projects to celebrate the many achievements of the Council of Europe on its 75th anniversary?

Are you curious to explore how you can illustrate the impact of your project on young people?

 CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

Then, this EYF initiative may be for you.

We are calling for youth organisations which had a project(s) funded by the EYF in the last 4 years to send us one or more pictures taken during their EYF-supported project activities.

The aim of this initiative is to bring together relevant images and texts that show the important work of youth organisations, the drive of young people, and the change the projects bring in young people’s lives!

What kind of pictures?

Ideally, pictures that “speak louder than 1000 words” about the project impact on young people. These can be images that can show the experiences and impact of your project activities on young people, photos that can illustrate changes that happened for young people or communities thanks to your project. Together with the picture(s), please also send a quote from a participant in the project and a short paragraph what your project was about.

Example 1. Picture showcasing the portrait of a young participant, with their quote about what they learnt. And a short explanation of the project.

Example 2. Picture of the community actions taken by participants together with their quotes on the value of the project. And a short explanation of the project.

Technical specifications

Pictures must have the following resolution at least 2000x2000 pixels, in one of the following formats: JPEG, PNG, JPG.

Text must not have more than 200 words and should be written in French or/and in English.

Before you submit your contribution, your organisation must have asked the participant(s) in the photo for their permission to use it for educational and awareness raising purposes. The EYF will assume that the picture(s) you send us, will have the permission to be published.

Similarly, your organisation must have acquired all the rights relating to sharing the photograph(s).

Your organisation agrees that the Council of Europe may use some or all of the content sent as it sees fit on social media, in print, and any other format of publication or distribution, for educational and awareness-raising purposes.

What happens then?

Depending on the number and type of photos the EYF will receive, we will be able to use them for different initiatives: an offline and online exhibition, a publication, an online promotional campaign, internal promotional events. We will try to make as much visibility and use of your contribution throughout the year. The EYF will inform you on the development of this process once we have finished collecting the contributions.

The photos and texts will be showcased at the 75th anniversary of the Council of Europe in one of the mentioned formats.

How to submit and when?

Submit your pictures and texts by email to eyf[at]coe.int by latest 24 March 2024.
