The EYF (Re)Loaded seminar was the first time that the European Youth Foundation team developed and implemented a seminar for NGOs registered with the Foundation. This step was taken as a result of the need to present and explain the new regulations and grant types introduced in 2013, as well as a revamped website and a new online application system. The seminar also sought to strengthen the partnership between the EYF and NGOs and establish a common ground for the future collaboration.
Organised from 4 to 6 February at the European Youth Centre in Strasbourg, the seminar was open to representatives of youth NGOs experienced in running youth projects in an organisation registered with the EYF.
Through a combination of non-formal education methods, discussions, workshops and simulations the EYF achieved the following aims:
- developed a common understanding on a strategic use of EYF grants to best meet the needs of young people in all Council of Europe countries;
- gained awareness about the different situations organisations address with the support of EYF grants;
- revitalised transparency and accountability between the EYF and youth organisations;
- achieved open and informal networking between the EYF team and the people running projects with EYF grants.
