Albanian journalists get acquainted with international and domestic mechanisms and other resources for their protection. This activity was organised by the Albanian Media Council with the support of the EU and Council of Europe joint action on "Freedom of Expression and Freedom of the Media in Albania”
Several journalists shared their experience of intimidation and smear campaigns, which seem to disproportionately target women journalists more. Participants emphasized the need for more similar activities that would empower journalists and avoid their resorting to self-censorship.
