The Government of the Netherlands has made a voluntary contribution of €1,500,000 to support the launch of the Register of Damage Caused by the Aggression of the Russian Federation Against Ukraine.

The Netherlands has also contributed €400,000 to support the Council of Europe Action Plan for Ukraine “Resilience, Recovery and Reconstruction” 2023-2026, the Council of Europe Action Plan for the Republic of Moldova 2021-2024, cooperation with representatives of Belarusian democratic forces and civil society, human rights and equality for LGBTI persons, as well as to reduce the European Court of Human Rights backlog of well-founded cases.

Ambassador Tanja Gonggrijp, Permanent Representative of Netherlands to the Council of Europe, met with Mr Bjørn Berge, Deputy Secretary General, on this occasion.
