Italy has made a voluntary contribution of €80,161.33 to support the implementation of the Council of Europe Action Plan on Protecting Refugee and Migrant Children in Europe, bringing their total support to this action plan to €238,161.63.

This action plan is based on concrete actions for the benefit of refugee and migrant children and aims to ensure access to rights and child-friendly procedures, provide effective protection and enhance the integration of children who would remain in Europe.

The agreement was signed on 21 March 2019 by Ambassador Michele Giacomelli, Permanent Representative of Italy to the Council of Europe, and Mrs Gabriella Battaini-Dragoni, Deputy Secretary General.
