Within the framework of the Project Promoting Freedom of Expression and Media Pluralism in Morocco, on Monday, 30 November, the executives of the Communication Department of the Ministry of Culture of the Youth and Sports of Morocco exchanged views on the existing legislative mechanisms in Europe in the fight against disinformation. The background study, carried out and presented by Jean-François Furnémont, the Council of Europe expert, identifies good practices and the challenges faced by the authorities in dealing with information disorder.
The online discussions also involved the Ministry's regional delegations in 6 Regions of Morocco and the Institut Supérieur de l'Information et de la Communication.
This initiative is part of the Council of Europe Neighbourhood Partnership with Morocco 2018-2021 and is supported by Liechtenstein, Norway and Spain.
