On 26 November, the HF JUFREX “ Freedom of expression and freedom of the media in Kosovo* organised a training for journalists on whistleblowing and its importance for transparency. The event has been co-organised with the beneficiary organisation the Association of Journalists. Journalists from different media outlets attended the training which among others covered the international standards as well as the local legal and institutional framework on whistleblowing. This important topic has been discussed from legal and journalistic perspectives. Lots of questions were raised during the training sessions which were thoroughly elaborated and discussed among the participants and the trainer.

This Action is part of the “Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey II”, a co-operation initiative co-funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe, which aims at assisting Beneficiaries in the Western Balkans region and Turkey to comply with the Council of Europe standards and European Union acquis in the framework of the enlargement process, where relevant.
