GLACY + & INTERPOL: Virtual Workshop On Data Protection And Global Policing Capabilities Implemented by INTERPOL

The training on data protection and global police capabilities dedicated to law enforcement and also to criminal investigators took place this year online, from July 15 to 17.

The three-days workshop organized as part of the GLACY + project (Global Action on Cybercrime) in collaboration with INTERPOL was delivered by three trainers from Lyon, France and followed simultaneously by participants on site in Benin and Burkina Faso.

The workshop which was opened by the speech of Ruben Alba Aguilera, Head of Cooperation at the European Union Delegation in Benin, aimed to strengthen the knowledge and skills of law enforcement in general and investigators in the field of cybercrime, in particular with regard to data protection. During these three days, the participants were able to understand developments, exchange views on the challenges raised by national legislation and also to familiarize themselves with INTERPOL's global capabilities.
