The third Steering Committee meeting of CyberSouth project was held on 9 July 2019 in Strasbourg, France with the participation of representatives from priority countries Algeria, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco and Tunisia, and partners to the project from France and Romania as well as European Commission.

The meeting was the occasion to review the progress made within the project for the period of November 2018 to July 2019, to validate the next workplan and also collect ideas for the future CyberSouth project. Constructive discussions were held resulting in more guidance helping in the final implementation phase of the project.

Since the beginning of the project a number of 58 activities have been implemented and the project has already reached 70% of its objectives towards the strengthening of legislation and institutional capacities to cooperate on cybercrime and electronic evidence in the Southern Neighbourhood region. This last year of implementation will be focusing to achieve the last objectives and the preparation of the next steps for the continuation of the project.
