CyberSouth and GLACY+: Visit of the Minister of Justice of the Kingdom of Morocco at C-PROC

On 11 of March 2019, the Cybercrime Programme Office of the Council of Europe (C-PROC) welcomed the visit of the Minister of Justice of the Kingdom of Morocco, Mr Mohamed AUAJJAR and his delegation. This visit was part of a series of meetings that the Moroccan delegation had scheduled in Romania during the period of 11-13 of March that also included visits at the Romanian Ministry of Justice, Romanian Ministry of the Foreign Affairs and other Romanian institutions.

The Minister of Justice and the representatives of the Council of Europe discussed on the topic of cybercrime and the importance of a strong legislation in line with the requirements of the Budapest Convention. Council of Europe representatives emphasized all the efforts and commitment of Morocco with regard to cybercrime and reassured that capacity building programs of C-PROC office will continue to support Moroccan authorities in their initiative of strengthening legislation and criminal justice capacities to cooperate on cybercrime and electronic evidence.

At the end of the visit, the Minister of Justice offered his support in further activities to be implemented by the Council of Europe under CyberSouth and GLACY+ projects and congratulated the team for the work done in supporting the Kingdom of Morocco.
