The Council of Europe conducted an assessment visit mission in Lebanon during 27-30 November 2017.
The mission offered the occasion to conduct interviews with different institutions, such as the Ministry of Justice (Director General, Prosecutor General, President of the training institution, and Courts), Ministry of Interior, State Security department, and High Defence Council to understand the state of cybercrime in Lebanon, and identify needs and actions.
These meetings were supported by the Delegation of the European Union in Lebanon. During this mission, the CyberSouth project was given the opportunity to meet the Minister of Justice of Lebanon, Mr Salim Jreissati, who reaffirmed the commitment of Lebanon to this project.
Results of the visit will be presented and discussed during the Launching Conference of the project planned for the 3rd week of February of 2018 in Tunis, Tunisia.
