Given the importance of cybercrime reporting mechanism in the process of fighting cybercrime, the CyberSouth project initiated a series of National Workshops on the development of a dedicated cybercrime reporting mechanism in the priority countries.

On 14th of October 2021, the first workshop dedicated to Lebanese stakeholders responsible for fighting cybercrime was held, aiming at discussing the cybercrime reporting mechanism and its benefits.

Following the Lebanese representative’s presentation of their cybercrime reporting mechanism, a set of recommendations have been shared by the experts on the current status and possible developments of cybercrime reporting system and cooperation between agencies involved in cybercrime investigations.

The CyberSouth project will continue to support the Lebanese authorities in its efforts to further develop and improve the existent cybercrime reporting mechanism as part of the national strategic approach to fight cybercrime.
