This initiative seeks to shed light on the redistribution of public funds according to male and female needs and strengthen citizen participation in local life.

The amalgamated community of Shyroke is preparing and adopting local policies needed for sustainable gender-sensitive planning, and has initiated the process of gender-sensitive budgeting for 2021. To guarantee gender equality and an effective allocation of public funds, working groups have been established and work on capacity building, namely on analysis and measurement methodologies.

This initiative builds on existing communication channels between the local authority and the community, as well as on surveys and consultations.
