A delegation from the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe, composed of rapporteurs Anders Knape (Sweden, EPP/CCE) and Sören Schumacher (Germany, SOC/G/PD), will carry out a monitoring visit to Albania from 17 to 19 November to assess the application of the European Charter of Local Self-Government since the previous monitoring report adopted by the Congress in 2021.

The objective of the visit is to evaluate the progress made in implementing the 2021 recommendation of the Congress in Albania. The delegation will meet with Ervin Demo, Minister of State for Local Government, as well as the Albanian delegation to the Congress and representatives of various institutions at all levels of government in Albania.
