Council of Europe invited to speak at the European Commission Colloquium on Fake News and Disinformation Online

On February 27, the Council of Europe was invited to speak at a Colloquium on Fake News and Disinformation Online, organised by the European Commission DG Connect in Brussels. The aim of the multistakeholder meeting was to discuss future actions to tackle the spread of fake news and disinformation online. The key outcomes of the Colloquium will enrich the Commission's reflection on this issue, complementing a public consultation and a High Level Expert Group on Fake News.

Silvia Grundmann, Head of Media and Internet Division of the Information Society Department at the Council of Europe, addressed the participants of the Colloquium with a presentation of the Council of Europe study on information disorder.
