New Piedmont working group embraces the Faro Convention

Following the conference held last 10 April entitled "Il paesaggio educa lo sguardo", which was also attended by the Head of the Council of Europe Office in Venice, Luisella Pavan-Woolfe, more than twenty associations and organizations from Piedmont agreed to set up a working group embracing the principles of the Council of Europe's Convention on the Value of Cultural Heritage for Society.

The adherence of these heritage entities to the guidelines of the Faro Convention responds to their desire to contribute in particular to landscape protection and enhancement, as they conceive landscape as a "resource both for sustainable development and quality of life".

The project involves stakeholders that have been working on active citizenship for several years and that implement educational activities on landscape protection.
