On 23 and 24 September Italy celebrated European Heritage Days 2017. European Heritage Days was established in 1991 as a Council of Europe and European Commission Joint Programme to facilitate the creation of a common European cultural space.
The Council of Europe’s Venice Office will contribute to the event by coordinating activities and events organized by local cultural associations in the spirit of the Faro Convention.
Museums and cultural sites that are generally closed will be open for the community to enjoy heritage.
