Can History be seen as a common good?

The Italian Association of Public Hisotry held its fourth national confrence from 27 to 30 May 2022 at the M9 museum in Mestre (VE). The chosen theme for the event was "History as a common good" in homage to the manifesto appeal launched by hisotrian Andrea Giardina, writer Andrea Camilleri and life senator Liliana Segre in April 2019, to resore dignity to schools and universities.

During the conference were discussed and shared Italian as well as international experiences and practices in the field of public hisotry. Among these, initiatives stemming from the Faro Convention, were reported by Luisella Pavan-Woolfe, Director of the Italian Office of the Council of Europe. The conference provided an opportunity to discuss and reflect on the role and presence of hisotry in society from universities to public places, in schools and in the world of education, in high culture and in the popular one, in daily life of citizens anc communities.
