Throughout 2025, PersVeilig continued to expand its training offer to help journalists respond to emerging safety challenges. Particular emphasis was placed on protest safety, online resilience and vulnerability awareness, reflecting growing concerns about hostility towards journalists covering demonstrations and public events.

According to PersVeilig, protest safety became the most requested training programme among Dutch media organisations as journalists increasingly faced aggression, intimidation and obstruction while reporting from public gatherings. The organisation also continued providing specialised safety courses for photographers and camera operators, helping media professionals better assess risks and operate safely in challenging reporting environments.
