Depending on local circumstances, measures included dedicated media safety points, safe spaces for journalists, specialised conflict-management officers and enhanced coordination between police press offices and media representatives.

These initiatives seek to ensure that journalists can report safely from public gatherings while maintaining constructive cooperation between media organisations and law-enforcement authorities.
