Council of Europe work highlighted at the meeting of the European Platform of Regulatory Authorities (EPRA)

Artemiza Chisca, the new head of the Media and Internet Governance Division, presented the latest Council of Europe work to the stakeholders of the European Platform of Regulatory Authorities. She highlighted in particular  the report Freedom of expression in 2018 issued by the Information Society Department as well as the two declarations adopted by the Committee of Ministers in 2019, respectively on Financial sustainability of quality journalism in the digital age and on Manipulative capabilities of algorithmic processes.

The 49th EPRA meeting, took place on 29-31 May in Sarajevo, being hosted by CRA, the converged regulatory authority in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Gathering about 150 delegates representing 50 member authorities, permanent observers and invited media experts, the forum discussed current issues pertaining to audiovisual media regulation in Europe and exchanged on topics of common interest.
