The 2nd Global Conference of the Internet & Jurisdiction Policy Network is taking place in Ottawa, Canada, on February 26-28, 2018. Organised in partnership with the Government of Canada and institutionally supported by the Council of Europe, the OECD, UNESCO, the European Commission, and ICANN, this conference will be an important milestone in addressing one of the greatest global governance challenges of the 21st century: how to manage the coexistence of different national laws and jurisdictions online.

Key senior-level representatives from a wide range of stakeholder groups and countries will work toward the development of policy standards and operational solutions toward fighting abuse while protecting human rights and enabling the global digital economy. The Council of Europe will be represented at the conference by Jan Kleijssen, Director of the Information Society and Action against Crime Directorate.
