[Strasbourg, 20 February 2015] Today, Peru and Sri Lanka were invited to accede to the Budapest Convention on Cybercrime. 65 States are now Parties or formally committed to join this treaty. The Council of Europe will support implementation of the convention through capacity building activities. Sri Lanka already is a priority country of the GLACY project on Global Action on Cybercrime and a major conference will take place in Colombo on 26 and 27 March 2015.
