CyberSouth: Darkweb & Cryptocurrencies Course

In the framework of the CyberSouth Project, the course on Darkweb and virtual currencies (developed by European Cybercrime Training and Education Group) was delivered to the law enforcement officers from Middle East and North Africa Region at the Romanian Police Academy, in Bucharest during 5-8 March 2019. The goal of the training was to provide the officers with competencies to perform online investigations on the darkweb with enhanced knowledge in the relevant technologies.

During the training, the participants had the opportunity to learn the practical knowledge covering the following topics:

- Introduction to the internet ( domain names, , routing, web browsers, etc)

- Exploring the Dark Web

- Bitcoins and other crypto currencies

- Google hacks, social media, and open source intelligence.

The training was delivered to 23 law enforcement representatives from Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Lebanon, Jordan, France and Romania.
