Within the framework of CyberSouth, a joint project of the European Union and the Council of Europe, an assessment visit was conducted in Jordan during 4-6 June in order to meet with competent authorities responsible for addressing cybercrime and e-evidence issues in the field of criminal justice.
Jordanian authorities showed an excellent understanding of the cybercrime challenges and demonstrated a strong commitment in playing an active role within this project. A number of meetings with the high level officials from the Ministry of Justice, Judicial Training Institutions, Judiciary Police – Public Security Directorate, National Information Technology Center and Jordan Central Bank were organized by Jordanian authorities.
The results of this visit will conclude into future cybercrime capacity building activities to support Jordanian authorities, under the framework of CyberSouth project.
