From 12 to 13 September 2024, the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities organised a Conference of national associations of local and regional authorities (Assises) in Strasbourg. This event marked the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Congress as well as the 75th anniversary of the Council of Europe. The Assises provided the opportunity for representatives of around 100 national associations from all over Europe to share their ideas on the role of local and regional authorities in maintaining the democratic stability of the continent.

Sofiia Bohdanova, Ukrainian youth delegate, took part in the debate on Resilience, reconstruction and reform of Ukraine at the Conference of national associations of local and regional authorities.

“I have only one minute to show Ukranian grief."

And sometimes, "young people in Ukraine have only one minute to leave”.
